Let the Sun Shine

The flowers were fresh and there were the expected number of them (it was a sunflower bouquet with five sunflowers), but the bouquet sent was NOT the bouquet I chose off the website. I was expecting (and wanted) a sort of short, globe-style glass vessel, which was to have dark green sort of leaf (from a tropical plant whose name escapes me) wrapped around the inside of it. The vase that was delivered did NOT have that. And the vase WAS glass, but it was a different shape--much taller, for one thing--than what I thought I had chosen, and came with a thin rafia string tied in a bow around the neck. And another thing, the non-sunflower greenery that was shown to come with the sunflowers in the website bouquet I "chose" was not, in fact, what was included with the bouquet delivered. The one I thought I was ordering was to have sprigs of little, strong green, ovate leaves--no flowers--that were to be nestled here and there poking out from between the tightly packed sunflowers. What was included were a couple of fern fronds and tall stalks of a filler plant with clusters of small yellow flowers that I would not have chosen (in fact I think there was another sunflower bouquet shown on the website as coming with that filler plant that I ruled out for that reason, among others). The whole thing looked like someone just went and cut a bunch of sunflowers and various other sprigs and simpy put them in a (very typical, seen everywhere) vase filled with water and let them lay as they just naturally would. Something you don't have to be a florist to do. The bouquet I chose would have taken some know-how to arrange (for example no space was to be left between the flowers), and was to come with the decoration in the vessel that I described above. Not at all worth the money spent. Glad I only only included a tip for the driver and NOT the extra "service" fee suggested to help businesses use technology--even though they seem to need it.

I don’t understand how anyone can leave poor reviews for this Floral Shop. My Mom lives in El Cajon and years ago, after I sent her an African violet basket from another shop that was pitiful, (I spent $75.00 and it looked like they went to Home Depot or Lowe’s and bought 3 very small, half dead plants; then threw them in a small basket and delivered them
